Randy blythe

I had the opportunity to speak with Randy Blythe at the end of May 2020. What was originally supposed to be a discussion focused on the release of Lamb of God’s upcoming eighth album turned into a freewheeling discussion about the state of our country, the way social media has polluted our brains, the general lack of empathy in the world and the murder of George Floyd. From Inked.

aarón sánchez

Long before he was dominating competitors in kitchen stadium, chef Aarón Sánchez was a wayward kid trying to find his way in the world. He needed a to be broken in, “amanasando.” In the basement of the tattoo shop he co-owns, Sánchez spoke with me about how chef Paul Prudhomme took him under his wing and prepared him for the culinary world. From Inked.

Frank turner

Frank Turner is one hell of a storyteller. Sometimes those stories are told through his songs, other times they’re written into his skin. We spoke extensively about his album “No Man’s Land,” a collection of songs about overlooked women from history. We also discussed how a punk rock kid ended up playing an acoustic guitar, the story behind some of his more absurd tattoos and the danger of tattooing your hands mere hours before a show. From Inked.
